In a nondescript building in South Bismarck, a team of engineers and technicians works to provide unique solutions to a wide range of customers’ needs. The team at Innovative Solutions provides engineering design, automation, machining, and welding services to clients both near and far. Focusing on manufacturing clients and mostly business-to-business relationships, Innovative Solutions has developed a reputation for quality craftsmanship backed by solid engineering design principles. They assist customers with custom-designed and built solutions, whether it’s automated machinery with fully integrated programming and electronics, to simple repairs, welding, and machined parts.
Since 2014, starting as a 3-man shop, Innovative Solutions has steadily grown into a 12,000 sq. ft. facility employing more than 10 people. Using the latest in CAD, CAM software, and various machines for CNC machining, manual machining, welding, forming, 3D printing, laser marking and engraving, the list goes on.
Innovative Solutions prides itself on a wide range of processes to allow quick turnarounds by controlling most, if not all, of the steps in a design and manufacturing process.
Through a tight knit partnership with regional companies, Innovative is able to offer a comprehensive list of services. Owner Chris Loraas attributes their long-term success to his family, consistent commitment to quality, and the highest standards of engineering and craftsmanship. Innovative Solutions’ most recent large project took them to the Bay Area in California, where they designed and installed a pair of custom wall flipping tables in a facility that builds prefabricated walls for housing. The system allows safe inflow, outflow, and manipulation of the walls via a control system and a series of sensors.
