Since August 2021, The Hair Academy, a local Cosmetology college, has been under the new ownership of Samantha Shoults and Andrea Birst. Established in 2005, the academy continues to serve aspiring cosmetologists in the region. Intriguingly, one of the academy’s original founders is Samantha’s mother, showcasing a family lineage in beauty.
This nationally accredited institution employs a dedicated team of educators and directors, focused on nurturing and empowering students. Their mission revolves around readying stylists for their dream careers within a conducive, professional learning environment.
Over the recent two years, the new proprietors have embarked on a journey of personal and institutional growth. The academy has seen a rejuvenation both aesthetically and in its brand identity, embodying a vibrant community spirit. Under expert supervision, students hone their skills on real clients, fostering a practical learning atmosphere.
Birst expresses gratitude for the ongoing customer support that aids in refining students’ expertise. Besides offering a gamut of hair, nail, and facial services, the academy actively engages in community projects. A notable instance is a recent cookout fundraiser, which amassed over 1,600 dollars, generously donated to Youthworks.
